Everybody loves to sing, whether they can or not. There are those select few who sing well enough to make their fortune and there are those, that even though they are tone deaf and unable to string two consecutive notes together in the same key, voluntarily put themselves in front of a camera and the world, and invite public humiliation at the hands of Simon Cowell.
Personally I never sing except if I’m alone in the car. I know I can sound like a donkey giving birth and have never tried to kid myself otherwise. My daughter, bless her, also loves to sing. But unfortunately, like me, she also does so completely out of tune and always gets the words wrong. Of course I would never dream of bursting her bubble or her confidence, but I have shelved all possible plans of retiring early off her glittering career on the stage.
So when I watched this video on ‘you tube’, my mouth was wide open with disbelief. Not only is it hard to imagine that a child of that age can sing so well, but it’s not often that you hear anything coming of out a 6 year olds mouth that doesn’t revolve around a battle of wills and end with an almighty sulk.
