I stumbled on your blog , which has left me with a tear, I’m from Suffolk, and love Norfolk . Ive been in Perth 51/2 yrs , and still call Suffolk home, I’ve been lucky to ‘go home’ every year for a holiday, I think I need to look at previous blogs to understand why you decided to return to the uk. I wish I was one of the many poms , god I hate that word, who say ‘ I’d never go back, what’s to go back for’, but I’m not. I have a great life here, and beautiful granddaughters, but I miss so much about home. I admire your decision and wish you much happiness :)

We waved a broom in the general direction of this monster, leaping backwards in a most cowardly fashion every time it made a dart somewhere. Eventually it disappeared into a crevice and we never saw the thing again, but not a creature I would be happy to share living space with any time soon.

Our fish was fine within hours, so perhaps there is something else wrong with your fish? Blood worms are a once a week ‘treat’ for them, so perhaps they’ve had too many. A pet shop should be able to tell you. Keep me posted – Rachel :)
